The home tab (heart on web) is your curated follow list of users you follow. The discover tab (compass on web) is just a firehose. No search at the moment but lots planned to get added like better relay management.

Nope mobile is near feature parity with web at the moment. I'll probably push features to web faster but plan to work on things in line as much as possible.
