There’s a home builder in Japan that does prefab housing. It’s interesting how they managed to position their brand as the premium option.

They prefabricate the entire house in a factory in sections and deliver to a site and assemble in 1-3 days. I think the section framing is steel and they assemble like legos into bigger sections. So for example if you wanted a bathroom that might be 1 section, a small bedroom might be 2.

The houses do look quite nice, but nothing like you’d find in the states. But they do have a certain style to them where you can tell this brand apart if you pay attention.

This way ia kind of the standard to build Holz100 (Wood100) houses. That are Houses which are built with nothing but wood, plus the cables for electricity and tubes for water. An austrian created the standard.
