We have normalized turning our private information over without even questioning it anymore.

I am at a jump park for my kids called “Altitude.”

To enter, it was mandatory I enter the following on the computer. It was supposed to be a waiver of release in the event of injury , but required:

Full Name

DOB

Home Address

DOB

Cell Number

Full name of all kids

I asked if I could sign the waiver without providing all of the above and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Then tried to pay with cash, and was told “we only accept card.”

Then, to make matters worse, my wife and sister in law were required to input the same information because they are “spectators.”

What a shame. And what’s worse, I complied. The girl at the counter has no idea. She’s like 18.

In her world, this is normal.

I should explain more :

if people start polluting the databases, those databases become useless. As long as there is no legal liability, it's better to lie, it reduces the usefulness of it.
