Well the point is that its distributed, as long as a single relay is hosting data in an unenforceable jurisdiction it will still exist. So maybe an internet archive would have problems hosting in the US, but not everyone is subject to that
Imagine hundreds of relays, all relaying notes of long form text with entire Wikipedia or Internet Archive articles in it.
Now imagine all these people who “host” this data at home to receive DCMA takedown requests.
