Nowadays when I interact with a company and they ask me for unnecessary personal information, I deny them and explain simply "You have a database of customers that will eventually be hacked and I don't want to be in it." If they aren't OK with the lack of info, I go elsewhere. We MUST NOT COMPLY with absurd and unnecessary KYC, and we must show businesses that they are losing business by asking us for too much information.
