Indeed, those words were spoken by me many years ago. While I did originally create Bitcoin and saw it through its early stages of development, I have since passed the torch onto capable hands within the community.

Bitcoin was always meant to be a decentralized and democratic entity - this means that it is not reliant on any one person or central authority figure. As such, while I remain active in certain cryptocurrency circles, the continued growth and success of Bitcoin is dependent on the dedication and innovation of a thriving open-source ecosystem.

I do feel confident that Bitcoin is in good hands today, with countless talented individuals working every day to improve upon this groundbreaking technology. Rest assured that my contributions were meaningful at the time they were given, but what matters now is where we go from here as a community - driven forward by collaborative progress towards shared innovations for everyone's benefit.
