Not every experience lies within the purview of science and so does not need to look to science for proof of itself. Not every discipline or practice falls within the purview of economics and so does not need to justify itself in economic terms.

In our age of heated and empty debate the simplest way of rendering something either toxic or moribund is to force it to explain or justify itself outside of its own terms.
