One wasn’t actively facilitating a platform that connected assassins to clients for hit jobs? This isn’t very honest.

Ross Ulbricht was never charged for murder-for-hire.
The prevalence of this mistaken belief shows how effective the media smear campaign against him was, and still is.
I never said he was charged for it. He facilitated and built a platform that had it. He was responsible for building one of the biggest black markets In history. I don’t agree with his sentencing but this original meme is hardly honest.
“The district court found by a preponderance of the evidence that Ulbricht did commission the murders. The evidence that Ulbricht had commissioned murders was considered by the judge in sentencing Ulbricht to life and was a factor in the Second Circuit's decision to uphold the sentence”
If the evidence was sufficient, they’d have charged him for it. He is innocent until proven guilty.
Couldn’t agree more. He did still create a platform that facilitated illegal activity, which he knew, and he was charged for it.
I was never arguing he hired assassins. Just that his platform was used for it by others.
This isn't even what was claimed in court (and not charged). What happened was that a two cops posed as a blackmailer and a hitman, and put pressure on him to accept the offer from the hitman to take out the blackmailer, which he allegedly accepted (which again was not officially charged or found guilty).
If he had actually murdered someone he might have a lighter sentence. They made an example of him.
