I've met with some core devs during #bitcoin pizza day.

Feels strange. Listening to challenges and issues that the protocol is facing and how much work remains to be done.

In a way it felt quite pessimistic thinking how lightning might not be the ultimate L2 scaling solution due to many challenges it faces but at the same time potential solutions are being worked on as we speak and new ones are popping up every day all over the world.

One thing is sure. We're early.
