I'm running OxygenOS (the default on OnePlus phones) but I am using Silent SMS, which is FOSS and privacy respecting, but has no other features, its very basic.
How do you like it overall?

I don't like it. I really wish Signal allowed you to set it as default SMS, even if some messages werent encrypted, cuz they have great features, but alas
