How the hell do people keep falling for these socialist policies? I suppose it pays off for governments to provide 'public education' so they can gloss over the repeated and spectacular failures of redistributionist policies.
It becomes easy for them at the moment, when about 50% of the population benefits from tax-transfers. These benefitors include officials and everybody, that works for the state...
At this breaking point, none of the benefitors will ever vote for a policy that will cut on their source of living, aka "taxes".
