To be fair, Rgb is totally off main chain and just needs users, no soft fork. Check it out. It's great that way. Apparently its custodial but i haven't confirmed that though.
The problem is the anti-DC side are claiming things like roger ver is pushing DC by funding Layer2labs (he is not)
Yeh he posted a tweet from 2015 saying he liked drivechains.
Well he forked to bch so I doubt he likes drivechains on btc anymore.
