Alot of people talking about the "mark of the beast". And what it means.

I am actually more fascinated by the description of what the beast is metaphorically in the vision that John had on the Island of Patmos.

Among many other things worth reading, John describes seeing in the future a multi-nation conglomerate which surrenders their respective sovereignty to a single centralized entity. Two things define it... a completely controlled, centralized monetary system, where no one can buy or sell unless they have an unspecified marking in their hand or hairline (forehead), and the ability to "call down fire from the sky" to enforce this economic system. (Space race to develop focused energy weapons anyone?)

But what interests me the most is the metaphor of the woman riding the back of the beast. Which is to mean the driving ideology, belief system, and worldview that drives this coming globalist political system. The beast itself has symbology of Babylon, Persia, Greek, and Rome. But the woman, or the ideology behind it, is called Babylon, the Great Harlot. Who in the text, is labeled as responsible for all the bloodshed, and corruption in the earth over the millennia.

This fascinates me because of the history of the concept of "Empire" in the earth. Or centralized tyrannical government. A direct line can be traced from Sumer which became Babylon, to Persia, to Greece, and then to Rome. But the seed bed of dictatorial tyranny in the earth, really began in Babylon. Personally, when I read this, I see a total condemnation of the concept of Empire itself. Its something that God is totally against, and hates. That is absolutely fascinating to me.

Perhaps most important is the small line in Revelation which rarely gets talked about, which is "God is bringing them forth to perdition." If you believe this vision, (which is astoundingly accurate), the reason the rise of this one world system is being allowed, is not so they can rule and reign, but so it can be completely destroyed once and for all.

Im not sure if this globalist system, which has been trying to birth itself into the world for a long time, will succeed this time around. In fact, I have doubts it will, and suspect a time after this of it retreating. But eventually it will succeed. But the point is, if the old vision is to be believed, it will not stay it power. In fact, it will not survive one decade before being completely destroyed.

Faith, Hope, and Love will remain.

1. Notes like this are why I'm here

2. Take your thoughts and add the linguistic (and thus, probably, ideological) link between Babel and Babylon

3. Goddess worship (the Whore) is key to the gnostic/pagan religion behind a lot of today's globalism

4. Have you heard/read much from the preterists that Nero fulfilled most of these prophecies?

5. ...even if he did, I think prophecies like this one (just like the prophecies of Christ) 'ebb' (meaning many partial fulfillments like birthpangs) until the final fulfillment which, if I'm honest, I cannot *not* see happening today with CBDCs and the like.

6. I would buy the next round if we were in person just to continue this convo

One of the things i personally think the western mind has difficulty with is the duality of Spirit, and flesh. Metaphor, and physical events, being simultaneously true, and the concept of a Spirit, and Type of a thing. Christ became flesh. But the Spirit of Christ existed before this.

Anti Christ is also a spirit at work in the world. Probably most clearly typified in the person of Nimrod, or Sargon of Akkad. But also visible in Nero, Hitler, and others, without ever reaching full expression. Christ is the full expression of the Spirit of God. And as such is the visible manifestation of Gods character. In the types of antichrist which have come, although they never reached full expression of that evil, they display the character of the evil one clearly. What i mean to say by all that, is that i suspect there will be elements of fulfilled prophecy at different times because that evil spirit cant help but be itself. But the final fruition will contain all elements of both the prophecy and the spirit. This may be an overly wordy expression of this idea, but im not sure how else to explain it. im sure some church fathers before have explained it more clearly.

And yes… every time i drive by Starbucks, and see the image of Semiramus in the logo, i see the harlot biding her time.

But spoiler alert 🚨 God wins.

I'm with nostr:npub1ak5kewf6anwkrt0qc8ua907ljkn7wm83e2ycyrpcumjvaf2upszs8r0gwg. Notes like this are why I'm here as well. I'm fairly new to full belief in Christ and I love listening to others interpretations of anything related to the Christian faith. This is the only place I've found in the internet where I feel welcomed as a Christian. Thank you for sharing!

Woodrow Wilson begins to feed the "Beast":

"The trouble with the theory [of limited and divided government] is that government is not a machine, but a living thing. This is where the living and breathing constitution comes from. It is modified by its environment, necessitated by its tasks, shaped to its functions by the sheer pressure of life."
