It seems to come in waves. I think something happens to increase visibility (conference, major article etc) which sparks a wave of signups and following activity which then subsides after a week or so. In the 4ish months I’ve been on I’ve seen this several times.

Most new users don’t seem to stay. I’m curious if there are stats on this.
