I believe is an issue, but dont affect the main idea of the protocol. Bitcoin born 100% centralized and small in satoshi machines, thats the reality in early days, but the main point its not the centralization, but the point of failure e the size of the failure. Lightning is centralized, but it is for small amounts, have points of failure, but the size of the failure is equally small, its not designed to store of value. If I lose 10 bucks in my pocket I dont stop using pockets or learn how to make my own pockets, its practical.
