Just a reminder. Lightning is a global payments network, not a tipping network.
Adoption and usage still sucks!
Just a reminder. Lightning is a global payments network, not a tipping network.
Adoption and usage still sucks!
and tipping is not payment?!?
works great over here...
we need to start somewhere...
evolution will unfold 🤙⚡🤙
Everyone's focused on p2p payments and not commerce is my point.
but what if commerce could / should / would become P2P?
is it still interfering?
Maybe. We should stop assuming everything will decentralize.
fair enough...
what I see is a constant flow of positive energy zapped around...
That creates / ignite the momentum...
Attantion towards lightning will increase as the tipping / zapping activity increases, it will come up on charts, conversations, social media posts, data...
more ppl will get intrigued and join in to see what its about...
more businesses will get intrigued because more ppl are intrigued because more nostr's are zapping all day and night around the world.
Lightning network payment system adoption unfold, and your wish will manifest.
so,
these tipping / zapping...
they actually serve your desires in regards to the lightning network use case.
everyone happy ⚡🫂💜🥳
Any practical suggestions for how to increase adoption?
I ask local businesses if they accept Bitcoin to further the cause.
Do you use it yourself for buying stuff online with gift cards? Do you get paid in Bitcoin? Do you spend Bitcoin? Are you on a Bitcoin standard?
Spreading awareness starts with us using it.
It's not easy to be on a Bitcoin standard but it's possible for at least 50% of your expenses depending on where you live.
I hardly spend Bitcoin, being honest. That’s partly because of Gresham’s law and partly because there are very few things I want which I can buy using BTC (online voucher availability is very limited in my location).
Do you think that using Bitcoin does more for adoption than evangelizing/educating? If so, can you please explain why?
