Would you say that Bangkok is less advanced, more advanced, or the same as the major metros in the US? For example NYC, Chicago, or LA.
Discussion
I have been 2 times to NYC, 2 or 3 (don’t even know anymore😅 to Chicago and short to LA, longer to SF) This was 8 years ago.
For me Asia is always my home. It’s the 8 time here and for longer period of times. Most people in the west (also where I am from Netherlands/Europe) think often it’s less advanced here. But I have here everything that I need. Next to this there is still a lot of respect/friendliness in a big city as Bangkok (I talk than also outside the tourist zones) The food is amazing on every conner of the street and affordable. I don’t even feel anymore the need to go to the mayor European and American cities because Asia got it all for me. But everything has its good and bad but Bangkok is for sure not less than New York/ SF etc.
For me personally Bangkok is better. As an artist they have amazing art galleries (free for the public what I think is lovely) and insane good Thai artist that inspire me. And there is a big bitcoin & nostr community here. #siamstr

Very cool. I've never been, but would love to go. From the photos and content I see online, the major cities in Asia seen much more advanced than the American cities. I've lived in the states my whole life and visited central America quite a bit, you can tell that central America is still developing, but when I think about the most advanced places, I think of Dubai and Tokyo, maybe Singapore.
True. The (middle) east really knows what they are doing 🙏 just compair one day JFK airport with Singapore airtport🤣
