Send your SSN with the payment. That makes absolute sense. I don’t know why we don’t just do that with every transaction. Not like it’s important or anything.

Yes, it’s very logical to provide the one piece of information that follows you for life and can be used to steal your identity and ruin your credit score to everyone you do business with.

Meanwhile certain credit cards are allowing you to change the name printed on your credit card. You know, for privacy.
