Are zaps not verified on Damus? I tap the button and the zap amount is shown and seems to stick without me paying an invoice?

That could be the case. It still shouldn’t do that though, until the invoice is paid.

it will show a yellow icon if the payment is pending. It should disappear after awhile if no zap was seen

Does the zap show a yellow clock icon on it?

The Zap ⚡️ turns yellow, but eventually goes back to unZapped if no actual Sats have been sent.
