A year ago, when I joined Nostr, it was mostly zaps. Now it's mostly likes.

For me the magic of Nostr was/is zapping. That was what blew me away in the beginning. It was the differentiator from other social media platforms. I think that's what it takes to get people hooked on Nostr.

Censorship resistance is nice, but let's be honest: most people don't give a shit.

If bitcoin is at 100k and they come here for the first time and get fucking bitcoin for comments, they'll love it and stay.

If they just get likes, they’ll leave again because other social media experiences are smoother.

Same here. Can’t zap notes on Damus.

But you can also try Primal. I rock Primal on a daily basis because zapping is smooth af. You don’t need to wait until a wallet opens and press send. It’s literally like giving a like. One tap and done. As it should be
