Focusing on “job creation” is asinine.
I could create billions of jobs at the stroke of a pen. Just ban washing machines. Now there’s a major shortage of professional clothes washers. Jobs galore!
Has it improved quality of life? Who cares?! JOBS!!

the word "asinine" is from the latin word for donkey
it's kinda funny how it has come to be used as an adjective for stupidity only when probably its original meaning was more stubbornness
donkeys are extremely tough, strong types of horses, but they are extremely prone to refusing to do something they haven't been trained to do, which bad animal handling - sadly too common, you see the same with dogs, who become mischeivous and noisy, gets attributed to the ass who is actually just doing what he was taught to do
anyway, the political rhetoric of job creation really is an almost purely socialist notion, its whole purpose is to create an artificial glamor of success around the ruling party for their interference in market relations
Be an ass for your family. 🫶 (Skip to 2:20). https://youtu.be/z1QEtXGK0_g
yeah, a true ass is not stupid, but rather, a steady and capable servant, my brain is like an ass... powerful and stubborn, that's also why i've ended up going from being a young progressive to an older conservative... i just could not tolerate the illogical stuff when i was younger, and now i have a firm grip on almost everything, i now feel like most people are stupid, gullible idiots wasting their time
"asinino" in italian, as donkey is "asino".
Agree with job market, in more socialists countries like Italy, government (with europe's new printed money) creates a lot of jobs obtained by bump bullshit industries that dont provide any value to individuals. Tons of microsoft-excel-centric bullshit jobs that are gently offered by people who pay taxes and have savings in euro.
yeah, it's the MO of socialists to focus on image and not take care of substance... one of the signs that the kind of people who promote and support socialism are vain and narcissistic
It is always comes down to some variation of the broken window fallacy.
