How am i supposed to spend it to people that dont want it? i do spend it, i go out of my way to do so. i end up in a position of buying crap that i dont need: a fiat phenomenon. We(bitcoiners) all do that. we all also conduct 99% of our lives with fiat. im on your side bro. but spending bitcoin here and now is impossible
Start a circular economy amongst local bitcoiners in your meetup and surrounding area for goods you actually need. The things you want don't magically happen, you have to go out and make it happen. Irl proof of work

If i was to do that the only people that would show up would be dipshits asking what the next crypto to buy is. after getting them to leave id find myself at a one man bitcoin meetup. the peole saying this stuff are either in cities where theres so many people that you can get 5 or 10 bitcoiners together, or, more likely, youre full of shit.
i work for many different people. i make sure they all know i prefer sats and will take them at a 20% discount. Its happened but its very rare. Thats the best i can do
the only possible way for me to use bitcoin locally is to travell to a place where i know people already do. and i may do that but im stuck in this town(that i fucking hate) for another year for personal reasons
I live in a small town where almost nobody speaks my language and even fewer use bitcoin. But I started a meetup with one friend, which then became two friends, now there's a good number of us and slowly growing. So a) no I'm not full of shit and b) you can do the same. If you don't see the world you want then start building it.
