Homelessness is incentive for the poor to get their asses to work. Climate change means it's more likely for, say, a bunch of rich people to lose beach front property to the sea or have it burn down in a Californian wildfire. They wanna solve the problem for themselves, but they can't give up the sweet, sweet oil money to do it.
