Epigenetics is not a human phenomenon.

Our behavior, while significantly more complex than that of other animals, is not evidence that we’re different in any fundamental way. All the language you’re using and the games you’re playing ultimately serve the same simple purpose, namely procreation or survival of at least certain of your genes.

Has language taken on a dynamic of its own? Maybe (one of the most fascinating explorations of that is the book Snowcrash). Is that powerful enough to make the claim that humans are fundamentally different? I have yet to be convinced.

I mean if building technologies like the Internet, Bitcoin and walking on the surfaces of the moon isn’t significantly different I’m not sure what is?

Knowledge and Language is epigenetic evolution which cannot be seen in other species, this is a fact.

With the acceleration of language, information and technologies which are distributed globally, it’s only logical to expect to see further complexity and differentiation between us and the animal kingdom.
