So here in Phoenix yesterday a Tesla tried to park and accidentally hit a building and proceeded to burst into flames with 3 people in the car. (They got out safely)

Later that day, a fire was going on down the street from that Tesla Accident.

Turns out it was the Tesla on a tow truck that caught fire AGAIN while being transported.

I’m all for progress, but my lord this is some wild ass progression.

I’ve had two vehicles catch on fire in my life. Neither events made the news. They would have if they were Teslas.

Great point. Also the strategy to contain the fire will most likely be modified with the continued rollouts of lithium everything.

Fire fighters have discovered in recent years, lithium-ion battery fires are prone to reigniting. That's because the lithium salts in the battery are self-oxidizing, which means that they can't be "starved out" like a traditional fire.
