Very cool! Oh my god! That's sound f-ing awesome. I have done this a couple of times only and it's been something like 17-18 years. The Oregon coast has some magical stash places. Where you at?

i ended up making chanterelle risotto with it. thyme, parmesan, riesling, thyme, mascarpone, chicken stock, garlic, onion, butter

Yum! Looks delicious. I personally am carnivore but I'd totally have steak emulating chanterelles if they presented themselves to me. No brainier.
