I live in a world with lasers, quantum computers, and atomic clocks all invented based on quantum theory.

Aether theory was formalized twice as long ago as quantum theory.

If aether theory is right and twice as old as quantum theory which is wrong why are there inventions derived from quantum theory but not aether theory?

The foundation of our electric grid is based on aether theory. Had Tesla and Steinmetz subscribed to quantum theory, they would have never made these breakthroughs.

The discovery of electricity, which is modelled as a single unit in conventional (modern) physics rather than a hybrid of magnetism and dielectricity, is literally what underpins lasers and computers, since they could not exist without discovering electricity. Lasers are phase coherent, point source light. Nothing to do with "quantum". Qubits are a conventional description of superposition of states as opposed to binary bits, using particle physics as the foundation. Or, within an aether framework, simply, waves. This is why people can't wrap their heads around the dual slit experiment; their minds are infected with the idea of particles rather than phase interference of waves, so this is explained in the form of a duality rather than the obvious answer.

Atomic clocks work by monitoring resonant frequency. Aether physics posits that there are no particles, only waves. Therefore the physics of atomic clocks is still consistent within an aether framework.

Aether physics was discarded because of the uncomfortable results that would have invalidated these modern theories from michelson-morley and michelson-gail-pearson, in that the aether was detected and moving using interferometric measurements. Tesla rejected the theory of electrons and general relativity, and by his own admission, Einstein didn't operate on the same level as Tesla. The "fuzzy haired crackpot" gave the world nothing but theories, whereas Tesla and Steinmetz gave the world the AC motor on the basis of an aether as the foundation for their work.

Indeed, the insanity of particle physics and quantum (literally quanta, or quantity, trying to quantify that which cannot be quantified) has resulted in most people trying to understand the world through a framework that is illogical at its core.

"Atomic clocks" as sold to you are really GPS clocks. They use calculations of the relative positions and relative times between you and the satellites. An astute rear has already seen it. Before Einstein and quantum theory we could not calculate orbits with the required accuracy, mercury famously was never right. They also use the different experience of time between you on the surface of Earth and the satellite being farther away from its primary source of gravity. Getting the right time also has to account for a difference in time experience based on different speeds between you and the satellite. These are all as Einstein predicted and done using quantum theory math yet you arrive at meetings in time. You not knowing quantum theory movement models are required doesn't make it not so.

Lasers trace their lineage directly to quantum theory. They came from the thought process "based on quantum theory we can probably do this cool new thing and here is how we'd do it" and no cat has lived in peace since.

And dude, michelson-morley disproved aether theory according to Michelson and Morley and every other physicist who looked at it. That is why Einstein was looking for other answers. I was skipping it because I wanted to build my answer using simple logic anyone could understand not go read this study or do these advanced orbital calculations. Aether theory posits directions for the Aether and Michelson-Morley experiment measured for those directions and found that they can only exist if they are always in relation to the observer. Now you and I need different Aethers and they must conflict.
