Disney Branded Television Unwraps “Dasher” A Original Holiday Special From Disney Television Animation Coming To Disney Jr. In 2026.The Annecy International Animation Film Festival to begin tomorrow, June 8th, in France. In honor of that Disney Branded Television has unveiled a slate of new and returning animated content for Disney+, Disney Jr., and Disney Channel.Disney Jr. had a big focus in this PR, one of the announcements was “DASHER” a original animated special from Disney Television Animation slated for a 2026 holiday release on Disney Jr. and Disney+.“Dasher” is a full-length CG holiday special inspired by Candlewick Press’ New York Times bestselling picture book “Dasher: How a Brave Little Doe Changed Christmas Forever” from author and illustrator Matt Tavares.
