sugar took me years, ongoing struggle too.

I’m just pumped today because I realized I hadn’t even thought about it in days and would rather just drink some raw milk or something. healthful replacements are key I think

Do you include things like potatoes or whole grain bread in “sugars”?

If you only mean sweets & processed foods… that is absolutely not my final boss. My final boss is booze.

yea I’m not a bread guy. avoid grains altogether. tried incorporating potatoes but doesn’t feel right too heavy.

I feel you man I struggled with that one for about 8 years before forgoing it completely. hell to get to that point but it changed everything, wouldn’t be here if I didn’t figure that one out. glad for the experience now.

Thanks for sharing.

I could easily go on a meat + veg diet, but my family loves carbs (we do eat mostly non-processed foods). I should really try a month without the carbs, even if they don’t partake.

I used to work in the artisanal wine & spirits biz, so I enjoy and have knowledge of those products. But I’m getting to the age where I should really give up drinking for my health. The negative effects are so much more severe these days.

yea I feel that. I guess I would tell myself not to allow my environment to let me off the hook or take half measures. but everyone’s on their own jam with goals & subgoals & pace 🤙

🤙💜

i've got all kinds of illness from it, vision problems, tinnitis, muscle weakness, persistent infections... it's really hard to find good food here in europe, there is no beef, only fucking veal and pork and chicken and everything corn fed garbage, the eggs are grain fed and i get a pretty bad allergy from them now too

my problem mostly built on top of potatoes and energy drinks, and two years of sucralose definitely accelerated it

I count potatoes and others, but beer is my final boss too. I can let go of just about everything else
