I am beyond thoroughly convinced at this point that THIS should be the priority this year for how the U.S. government engages with bitcoin…not a SCR (strategic crypto 😉 reserve)

It’s common sense legislation, opt in for citizens that want to more easily use bitcoin.

SCR is a political stunt for Trump to reward donors and pump their/his families bags. At least that’s what it is right now.

It’s also more divisive, at a time when most Americans still don’t understand bitcoin or crypto.

Bipartisan legislation first, then SB*R later

Legislation making it easier for people to use and hold bitcoin, including businesses, allows Americans to experience the tech for themselves.

It’ll increase adoption and if later the U.S. government wants to hold bitcoin it may be more warmly received I believe nostr:note1e7uzncx4eflu40hkz4xukthjfha8rexqn4j5ul4syx5ga7kvmuysq5ampk

I'm reminded of the quote by Henry Jones Sr at the end of Indian Jones and the Last Crusade:

"Elsa never really believed in the grail. She thought she'd found a prize."

That pretty much sums up how I believe that this administration sees Bitcoin.
