New guy question here: what is Habla. News? And why are you moving from medium? FYI I am on medium and looking for a replacement.

Go to Habla.news and check it out! Habla is long-form (editable) blogging over Nostr. So you log in with your nsec (via an extension like Nos2x I’d suggest).

As built it already models most of the functionality of medium - bold, italics, underline, blowout quote, links / code. As it develops I’m sure additional more unique functionality will be added.

Publishing happens over relays that support the long-note NIP.

#[3]​ is HablaDev so he’s a great person to reference with questions and feedback - though other knowledgeable people will always jump in to help too 😅

Thank you for the information. I have been on Medium for awhile and it doesn’t seem like it is growing? I could be wrong. I have been sitting on some writing waiting for a good venue. Will check it out. Cheers!

The digital long-tail fragments everything…probably the case with Medium but even when a platform is growing still doesn’t guarantee reach. I’m just choosing to grind - publishing even if no one is reading. Taking writing and storytelling and self reflection and photography as worthwhile pursuits in themselves, even when completely in the digital dark…
