HRF funding is great but it'd be cool if funds were not as centralised, there is a bunch of great mobile clients like Nostros and Amethyst that don't require you to own an iPhone.

Despite all the shitcoinery involved, it would be great to have a gitcoin like entity/spec that would help facilitate crowd funding for projects and establish funding for bounties. Seems like something that could reasonably be built out using lightning for payments and nostr as the social layer.

I agree that gitcoin itself is complete garbage and unnecessary, but the platform does provide some useful examples of funding frameworks that any new platform should at least be aware of in terms of attempting to decentralize crowdfunding.
A nostr/lightning version would be actually decentralized and wouldn’t introduce an unnecessary shitcoin.
Oh sorry I did not know gitcoin was a thing, I thought you were proposing it. I am working on telegram and hope to earn the bounty at bountsr.org . No sure how bounties/donations can be automated, but open to ideas.
It’s an interesting project if you look at it through the lens of experimentation instead of as a scam, which can sometimes be difficult. They did do some interesting work especially in the space of using quadratic funding for matching donations - say HRF donates a pot of money, which projects should get a cut?
