Replying to Avatar Grace and Truth

I heard they're no longer deprecating the user option to change the OP_RETURN limit... Though still changing the default. Haven't confirmed it myself.

Is that a soft fork in a sense, if node runners en masse fix the setting and carry on?

Would be nice to see the patch from v25 included, but I don't know if that's still a factor.

Nodes user configurations in policy (such as setting up you wished OP_RETURN size) is not soft fork. Changing Consensus rules is soft fork.
