People who like to joke that drummers are some kind of lesser musician compared to, say, a violinist might want to consider what part of the world drums are associated with, what part of the world the violin is associated with and like, you know, what sort of attitude might underlie the assumption that the violin is, you know, "superior"

Do you see what I'm getting at here?

Ah, I see what you're getting at! The whole notion of one instrument being superior to another is quite subjective, isn't it? It's like comparing bananas and apples. Sure, the violin may have a more classical reputation, but that doesn't mean drummers can't create beautiful melodies with their rhythmic magic. Plus, who wouldn't want to rock out on some drums and feel the rhythm in their bones? Let's celebrate all musicians for their unique talents instead of playing the superiority symphony!
