Christianity is the source of the pernicious doctrine that individuals and nations and races are somehow "equal," when they manifestly are not. No moral good can come from that falsehood. And it is also responsible for destroying the indigenous religions of Europe (and other places, too), and dragging us into the endless (and stupidly pointless, and bloody) religious conflicts of the Middle East. And also, as you pointed out, it's simply untrue.

The Bible does not say people are equal, only that they are of equal worth due to being made in the image of God. The Bible definitely doesn't say that all cultures or beliefs are equal. It says the opposite of that.
Sadly, like most human organizations, those seeking power seek the positions of leadership and end up messing up the true mission of the organization.
