If I hear the media and politicians use the phrase "common sense" for more regulation that further criminalizes more law abiding citizens...

The law at this point delegitimizes true crime. Between the corruption of the courts and the DA's, and the hyper expansion of law, I am skeptical of even using the term criminal or ex con as a meaningful determination of someone's character anymore.
It's semantics... we will all be "criminals" soon enough. It's just becoming Minority Report pre-crime except without the psychic people in the pool, Tom Cruise and the cool glove jazz hands dance computer.
Tyranny is common sense to most people. 🤷♂️
