Let me regale you with the story of my adventure last night.

Went to the good casino yesterday, a 2 hour drive away. Didn't win big but walked out with a little more than I walked in with.

Driving home in the dark. A couple small brown shadows are crossing the highway. Porcupines!

By the time I see them in my headlights it's almost too late to stop so I try to split between them and clip one of them with my front left tire.

Tire goes flat almost immediately.

Pull over on the side of the highway to change it. I jack up the car and take the wheel off. I go toss the wheel in the trunk.

The car falls off the jack. Now I'm really screwed.

Call roadside assistance. This automated phone system texted me a link to start a service request but I'm out in the country and have no Internet on my phone. Very frustrating.

Eventually talk to a real person and get roadside assistance dispatched. But dude is an hour and a half away.

Roadside dude shows up and we jack up the car and we put the spare on. It's flat.

So even if the car hadn't fallen off the jack I still would have been screwed. Aired up the donut and it was good.

I finally got home at almost midnight. All because a fucking porcupine wanted to cross the road.
