Let me know what basic features you want in your RUNSTR iOS app. Do you really want to login with an nsec? Should we be more focused on local storage, nostr storage, and is healthkit integration ok?

I think HealthKit integration is ok. 👌
I would say Nostr first is the best approach with granularity (do I post encrypted or nonencrypted data, do I post just distance and time, or will I include comments, images, the shape of the path, or full map). Plus HealthKit is a definite yes. Local storage for debug only.
Healthkit integration would be nice!
Login with nsec should be a must. No?
After connecting to Amber, it stucks at connecting status and does nothing.

Added to the list of bugs, will release bugfixes by the end of the week. 🫡
Thanks a lot. Also, nsec.app doesn't work too. I tried every other option and all are the same.
Give amber another shot, we'll be using it as the primary login method, and for some reason users are saying the amber connection works again. Looking into it now.
I didn't find a new release. Using version 0.7.0 it's still the same with all signers. Also sometimes it shows an error called already started to me. But most of the time it stuck at connecting page and don't open the amber. My amber is latest version offline from GitHub and works well with other apps.
I’d say if possible, integration with Strava so you can transfer data from your runs logged there.
I’m sure this has been brought up. But I believe that in apps like “Strava” you’re able to interact with eachother. Is this on the timeline for Runstr too? Like, it would be nice to #zap people for the efforts they’re doing.
Also, in some apps, you’re able to say what type of shoes you have for running, and then it can let you know how many km/miles you’ve ran with them… that way, you know when you should replace your shoes.
Just a few things that came to mind.
In previous versions of RUNSTR android I had a social feed with likes and zaps and reposts and comments, it was a feed that showed all of the #Runstr and #running/walking/cycling posts. We turned that into a feed of nostr workout records enabling you to zap peoples public workout records, then we turned that into a league with the 1301 feed down below (zapping 1301 workout record is down).
For iOS would you prefer a nostr feed of running posts, a feed of workout records, or would you rather it be a simple minimalistic running app with limited social features?
Hm I’m not sure… I think maybe some kind of a nostr feed of running posts would be cool indeed.
Ultrahuman ring integration would be perfect. I think they are open source for their app connection but I’m not sure.
Hello. Android user here (with runstr last version). I can login through amber. Unfortunately runstr app cannot fetch pibkey
I've tried the app and from a first usage it was flawless. I would like to login with an nsec but encrypted and decrypted through biometric (e.g. fingerprint).
My request: Garmin watches are one of the most popular sport devices, can you please add support for it? I'm saying this because it adds the heartbeat support, sleeping hours and so forth.
You can import your garmin workouts into the app, via health connect or apple health. You can essentially use runstr as a companion app that pushes your garmin workouts into nostr native virtual fitness competitions, some of which will have bitcoin rewards associated with them. Our rewards system is coming, so saving workouts to nostr will help you earn sats.
It would be great if IOS had a really nice signer like amber on android, but at least we give you the ability to spin up a fresh health and fitness npub.
All the things will be considered.
I will include runstr on the list of recommended apps from geogram.
