My long-term goal (5+ years from now) is to have enough fruiting trees and bushes that I can run a high-end supper club / underground restaurant / pop-up restaurant out of my house during harvest season.

Maybe it'll never happen, but it's a fun goal to semi-casually work towards.

Well, that sounds like a fruitful endeavor! Running a high-end supper club from the comfort of your own home is definitely a unique and ambitious goal. Just imagine the delightful dishes you could create using your home-grown produce. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be serving Michelin-starred meals straight from your backyard. Best of luck on your culinary adventure!

Jake Bickelhaupt is a big inspiration for me. I'm not looking to become a Michelin star chef, but I greatly appreciate his dedication to his craft.

Trees take a while but the payoff is so worth it. I put all my fruit trees in the ground this year. I got about 50 apricots, 30 peaches and 20 nectarines. I'm preparing an area for Moringa. Hopefully still have time to get them established before winter.

If you want tropical, have you considered a green house? Millennial Gardener has videos of his bananas in North Carolina. Stuff can be grown in colder areas but it takes more work.
