I remember when I first bought bitcoin and transferred it to cold storage, I was mind blown by this revolutionary technology. Being able to send money/transfer value through a QR code was super cool. I’ve sent numerous zaps on NOSTR and to my wife and kids, but now I just made my first purchase using Bitcoin, and it brought back that same “holy shit” feeling I originally got. Of all the countless hours spent & knowledge I have acquired over the years learning about bitcoin, nothing really compares to these little moments that make you sit back and realize, that there’s nothing stopping this thing, and that it’s quite possibly the coolest technology I’ve ever used.

I have always just stacked Bitcoin for the past 5yrs and have never sold/traded any of it for fiat. Like Saylor says, you never sell it. Why would you even think about trading the harder currency for the weaker one, aside from an emergency situation?

Instead, use it to buy meaningful products or services. After 3-4yrs, you should be in the green and can afford to spend/use some of it if you choose to do so. If you’re thinking about making a purchase using some of your bitcoin and you haven’t yet, just do it. You owe it to yourselves, and there’s no better feeling!
