I definitely agree with you on this.

It's needs to be organic and on the terms of the people free of manipulation. Now don't get me wrong, humans naturally try to find a better way when presented with a problem. The problem is that the establishment (might even be old by now) creates an event to take advantage of the people.

I believe they are losing their ability to create the events and look to be taking a more reactive role.
