Those were the days πŸ€™

Why? The world has been like this my whole life. No change.

Im in my mid 30s and it was just a different time back when I was a kid before cell phones and shit

Big change

True.

I'm older than that. We don't give our kids any of the electronic crap. They spend their time outdoors in the dirt and the mud

If it concerns different things, we'd say we fight for something. Now we simply say "it's gone"? I get the impression we don't so much let go of the world but the rather the idea under pressure.

This is a memory of a different era, way of life, social cohesion, and collective ambition. A future to look forward to. Striving to bring that to the present is admirable and needed, of course, but the hill is harder to climb for most now than it ever was. We hold onto it by intentionally remembering, and forging our way regardless.

Not a cell phone in sight. Just a few teenage boys living in the moment.
