Privacy is more of a buzzword than a real term or technique. When you see someone calling themselves a privacy expert, you immediately know they're clueless.
I've been thinking about that a lot recently. I'm pretty sure you're right.
They're either lying to sell VPN or simply delusional to the point of not seeing how most people are more than willing to share their data. Right now I don't wanna be private. I wanna have a public conversation.
It sounds a bit like choosing safety over freedom.
