Our native Texas plum is full of fruit this year. These little trees have the most fragrant spring blossoms, I can smell them from a distance. I have a couple of cuttings I started, hopefully will transplant this fall. Oh, and the bunnies are doing well considering the heat. #grownostr #nature #rabbits #trees #homesteading #countrylifr

They are pretty sour, but my husband has made preserves from them in the past. Not lately since I'm trying to limit sugar in my diet. I mainly value the tree for its amazing spring blossoms and fragrance. The bees and other insects love them.
