Tbh I don't think exist any hard left-leaning parties on Japan. At the very least maybe a little centre left, but compared to the USA, all parties in Japan look conservative
Yes, that’s right. The previous prime minister was center-left and things were going fairly well, but he was pushed out. 😅
Japan does not even have that many foreigners right?
Yes. But Japan’s an island country with a pretty inward-looking culture.
So even though Japan doesn’t actually have that many foreigners compared to other countries, the anxiety grows really easily.
And the right-wing crowd is using that and hyping it up
Even though most people in Japan are centrist or have no party affiliation, right-leaning ideas still hold a significant amount of influence in Japanese politics.
