'water resistant starch' is also amylose, which is the main precursor to maltodextrin and the same "amyloid" starch that is associated with alzheimers

it's most definitely soluble after bile attacks it, that's what maltodextrin is, more or less (ok they use hydroxide but the chemistry of hydrolysis is much the same either way)
