A rich lawyer nicknamed “the counselor” gets mixed up in the brutal world of drug trafficking after investing in a drug deal. He doesn’t listen to the advice of his criminal associates. He thinks he can outsmart the cartel. This leads him into a vortex of bloodshed and doom. The film explores greed and hubris. Didn’t enjoy this one that much. It’s visually interesting but the dialogues are terrible. It feels like it’s trying too hard to be cool and smart but fails at both. Brad Pitt’s character was interesting. I dont think I’ll watch this one again. 5.5/10 #nodereviews
