Modern communists since Deng Xiaoping are in bed with corporatism because it expands the power and reach of the government.
Corporatism allows the government to outsource tyranny and oppression to companies that the government control via regulations. This leaves the government with seemingly clean hands and all the retards will blame the companies that following government commands, threats of fines and incentive structures.
