I don't think bitcoin is going to fix everything. In fact, I don't think it's going to fix much of anything besides individual circumstance. Nobody stands around a lifeboat on the Titanic, slaps the side, and says "Yep this sweet baby is gonna fix humanity."

Although I do think it would be absolutely hilarious if bitcoin did fix humanity. All I wanted to do was buy some addy on the internet and __whoops__ I helped bootstrap a Kardashov Type II civilization.
