no it's not. i just didn't like it.
they are so eager to copy the original Scott style Alien but like an elementary school work
Granted nothing tops the original. But “piece of shit” thas a stretch
maybe i neglected the visual work because i watched it on a quite small screen.
like David Fincher also got polarized reviews on Alien 3, i found the industrial gothic atmosphere quite impressive

i was aware of Giger's master mind behind the visual images of xenomorph.
my favorite part in the alien universe is Prometheus and its exploration of human origin and concept of God, it's also from Ridley Scott, no one really had better vision than him on this universe tbh
